ALPINE TRIP
It is time to get to know the region of Upper Carniola after our first successful trip through Slovenia. We will be stopping by at locations known after their natural beauty. Our first stop is lake Jasna, where its visitors are awaited by 6 meters tall piers and a high scenic platform. You will also be able to drink your morning coffee and enjoy the exquisite view of the Julian alps.
Following that, we will head towards the nature reserve called Zelenci, where many plants have found their home, the carnivorous Round-leaved sundew being one of them. The animal kingdom is very diverse as well, saturated with amphibians and nesting birds. The marsh with the Drni bog measures up to 1200 meters in length and on average 150 meters in width, 200 at the widest and 20 meters at the most narrow point. There is also a gorgeous emerald green lake located at the far West of the marsh, with clear and cold springs, which come from a lake chalk layer that gives the water a clean blue and green colour. Zelenci were proclaimed as a natural reserve in 1992 by the Jesenice county.
Our route will continue towards Planica, where the nordic ski jumping centre is situated. The most brave out of you all will be able to ascend to the top of the hill, which allows you to jump more than 250 meters and first-handedly experience how much courage ski jumpers really need. We also recommend that you do not miss the chance to take a walk to the Tamar valley during your free time in Planica. You will be able to observe up to 2500 meters tall mountains and (mountain) ridges. The two thousand tall Mojstrovka, Travnik, Velika Dnina, Ponc and Jalovec will blow you away and the Tamar mountain hut will take care of your refreshments.
The return back to Ljubljana will follow in the late afternoon.
COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOL
To be able to travel with us on our "Alpine Trip" on the 25th of September, you will need to have a valid EU digital COVID certificate! We will check them before our departure from Ljubljana.
HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY APPLY
Your application does not equal to a spot reservation for the trip! For your application to be fulfilled, you need to settle the costs of the trip first in our office at Pivovarniška ulica 6, 1000 Ljubljana! There are only 50 spots for this trip!
